We went to Paris for a long weekend and because there is too much to see in too little time, friends told us about the mobile cityguide of Paris We used it and was very handy! You always have your mobile phone on you in case of emergency so you don't have to carry a guidebook. After visiting a specific place we took our phone and looked through the list of descriptions of museums, restaurants and bars and we could easily choose what we wanted to do next. The speaken sentences were handy because a lot of frence people don't speak english ( and we donnot speak french very well). Also a lot of cabdrivers are arabic and only speak french.
Next time we will use it again!

To this day, the storming of the Bastille is commemorated across France as the Fete de la Bastille – Bastille Day. There are nationwide celebrations but some of the biggest in the country take place in Paris along the famous Champs-Elysees. Thousands of spectators turn out to watch the procession and military bands as they make their way along the tree-lined avenue. After dark, a huge fireworks display lights up the night sky and parties continue till the small hours in the city's bars, cafes and restaurants. The day is a public holiday throughout the country.
